Brightline West

The groundbreaking for the Las Vegas high-speed railroad, named Brightline West, occurred on April 22, 2024. the project will construct a 218 mile, all electric rail line connecting Las Vegas, Nevada to Rancho Cucamonga, California. It will be Americas first true high-speed rail system, running on zero-emission, fully electric trains capable of speeds up to 200 mph. The route will include stations in Las Vegas, Apple Valley (Victor Valley), Hesperiaa, Aand Rancho Cucuamonga. This project is a mix of private and public funding, including a recent $3 billion grant from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Billand $3.5 billion in private activity bonds. Service is expected to begin in 2028 or 2029.
